Job Description
Are you passionate about media and have a keen eye for detail? Do you enjoy watching videos and have excellent typing skills? Netflix is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Beginner Subtitle Editor. This is a fully remote, work-from-home position where you will play a crucial role in making our vast library of content accessible to a wider audience. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Watch various video content, including films, TV shows, and documentaries.
- Accurately transcribe spoken dialogue and on-screen text into subtitles.
- Synchronize subtitles precisely with the audio and video timeline.
- Ensure subtitles adhere to Netflix's quality guidelines and style preferences.
- Perform quality checks and edits on your own work and, occasionally, the work of others.
- Collaborate with a team of editors and linguists to maintain high standards.
- Manage your workload efficiently to meet deadlines.
Required Skills
- Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal).
- Strong typing speed and accuracy.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with basic computer software and web applications.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
