Job Description
Are you passionate about the art of nail design and eager to master acrylic sculpting? The Polished Petal Salon & Spa is offering a unique Acrylic Nail Apprentice opportunity for dedicated individuals ready to launch their career. This hands-on program is designed to provide comprehensive training in acrylic application, sculpting techniques, sanitation, and client communication, preparing you to become a highly skilled and in-demand nail technician. You will work alongside experienced professionals, learning the latest trends and techniques, while building a strong foundation for a successful future in the beauty industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Shadow and assist senior nail technicians during client appointments to observe and learn best practices.
- Practice and refine acrylic application and sculpting techniques on training models and gradually on clients under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Prepare nail stations for clients, including setting up tools, products, and sanitizing equipment.
- Greet clients warmly, assist with check-in/check-out procedures, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Learn about various nail products, tools, and their proper usage and maintenance.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions, workshops, and product knowledge seminars.
- Manage inventory of supplies, ensuring availability of necessary products and tools.

- Ability to obtain or currently possess a valid Washington State Cosmetology or Manicurist license/permit (or actively pursuing).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior enrollment or completion of a beauty school program (even if not fully licensed).
- Basic understanding of nail anatomy and common nail conditions.
- Previous customer service experience in any industry.
- Portfolio of personal nail art (even if informal).
