Job Description
Are you a motivated 17-year-old looking for immediate work with a great hourly rate? McCarthy Building Companies is seeking enthusiastic and reliable teens for temporary construction cleanup roles in Cedar Rapids. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experience on a real construction site, contribute to important projects, and earn good money quickly. You’ll be part of a supportive team, ensuring our sites are clean, safe, and organized. Key Responsibilities
- Gather and dispose of construction debris, including wood scraps, drywall, packaging materials, and general refuse.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum work areas to maintain cleanliness.
- Organize and store tools, equipment, and materials in designated areas.
- Assist in maintaining a safe work environment by identifying and reporting potential hazards.
- Follow all safety protocols and site rules diligently.
- Perform other general labor duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Skills
- Must be 17 years old.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to safety and following instructions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
