Job Description
We are seeking a warm, responsible, and enthusiastic Weekend Live-in Au Pair to join a wonderful host family in Minneapolis, MN. This part-time role is perfect for an international student looking for a cultural exchange experience combined with meaningful childcare responsibilities. You will provide dedicated care for children primarily on weekends, ensuring their safety, engagement, and well-being, while enjoying the benefits of living with a host family and exploring American culture. Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and engaging childcare for children primarily on weekends.
- Organize and participate in age-appropriate activities, games, and outings.
- Prepare simple meals and snacks for children during your working hours.
- Assist with light tidying of children's play areas and bedrooms.
- Ensure children's safety and well-being at all times.
- Follow the family's schedule and routines for children.
- Communicate regularly and openly with host parents regarding children's activities and needs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience caring for children (e.g., babysitting, nannying, volunteer work).
- Genuine love for children and ability to engage them positively.
- Responsible, mature, and reliable character.
- Ability to commit to a weekend live-in schedule.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Clean background check and valid driver's license (or willingness to obtain one).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior au pair or extensive childcare experience.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Interest in cultural exchange and integrating into an American family.
- Educational background in childcare, early childhood education, or a related field.
- Comfortable with pets (the host family may have one).
