Job Description
Join our team as an Afternoon Grocery Clerk and play a vital role in ensuring our store is well-stocked and visually appealing for our customers. This part-time position involves working shifts from 4 PM to 8 PM, focusing on stocking shelves, maintaining product displays, and assisting customers. We are looking for an energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering the highest standards of customer service and store presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and stock grocery products onto shelves and displays.
- Ensure products are faced, rotated, and priced correctly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including aisles and backroom.
- Assist customers with locating products and answer general inquiries.
- Monitor product freshness and remove expired or damaged items.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks safely (training provided).
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation guidelines.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or grocery environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of product rotation and merchandising.
