Job Description
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our team in New Port Richey, FL. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of clients, providing essential care and support in the comfort of their own homes. This role involves 12-hour day and night shift rotations, offering a consistent schedule for those committed to delivering high-quality, personalized care. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide personal care, such as skin care, mouth care, and hair care.
- Assist with safe client transfers, ambulation, and exercises as directed.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties relevant to the client's care environment.
- Medication reminders and assistance with self-administration (as permitted by state regulations).
- Measure and record vital signs, reporting any significant changes to the nursing supervisor.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized client environment.
- Document services provided accurately and timely.
Required Skills
- Current Florida Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or CNA license.
- Ability to work 12-hour day and night shift rotations (7 AM – 7 PM or 7 PM – 7 AM).
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow care plans and document accurately.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with clients requiring complex care needs (e.g., dementia, mobility challenges).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
- Fluency in Spanish or other languages.
