Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Apple Hardware Systems Aide to join our cutting-edge technical design support team in Bath. In this pivotal role, you will provide essential assistance across the hardware development lifecycle, focusing on systems that interact with or are inspired by Apple’s design philosophy and technology. You will work closely with design engineers, test engineers, and project managers, contributing to the meticulous planning, execution, and documentation of hardware projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of hardware test benches and prototyping environments.
  • Perform basic diagnostic tests, data collection, and analysis on hardware components and systems.
  • Document test procedures, results, and observations meticulously, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Support engineers in the assembly, rework, and modification of prototype hardware.
  • Manage and organize hardware inventory, including components, tools, and test equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and provide technical support.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design support processes and methodologies.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards in all technical activities.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of fundamental electronics principles and digital logic.
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools for assembly and rework of electronic components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
