Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Inquiry Evaluator with a strong focus on legal technology to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating legal inquiries, assessing the relevance and accuracy of data, and contributing to the refinement of our legal tech tools and processes. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and a solid understanding of legal principles and their application in a digital context. You will work autonomously to ensure high-quality and consistent evaluations, directly impacting Google’s ability to respond effectively to legal requests and maintain compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and process legal inquiries, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
- Analyze complex legal documents and data sets to extract pertinent information.
- Provide detailed and accurate feedback on legal tech tools and algorithms to enhance their performance.
- Identify trends and patterns in legal inquiries to inform process improvements and policy development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, engineering, and product, to optimize workflows.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal frameworks, industry best practices, and technological advancements in legal tech.
- Manage a high volume of tasks efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of experience in legal research, legal operations, or a similar role requiring data evaluation.
- Demonstrated understanding of legal principles, research methodologies, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree or paralegal certification.
- Experience with legal tech platforms, e-discovery tools, or large-scale data evaluation systems.
- Familiarity with intellectual property, privacy law, or content moderation legal frameworks.
- Proficiency in SQL or other data querying languages.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment.
