Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Aerospace Material Handler to join our high-precision lab team in Corona, CA. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely handling, storage, and distribution of sensitive aerospace materials and components. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a pristine and efficient lab environment. You will work directly with engineers and technicians, supporting critical projects by managing inventory, preparing kits, and ensuring compliance with all material handling protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of aerospace materials, components, and tools.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using specialized inventory management systems.
- Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized high-precision lab material storage area.
- Prepare material kits for production and engineering teams according to precise specifications.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with periodic inventory audits.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely.
- Ensure all material transactions are documented accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all company safety standards, quality procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., AS9100).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve material discrepancies or shortages.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience in material handling, logistics, or warehousing.
- Proven ability to maintain accurate inventory records and perform data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and inventory management software.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an aerospace, manufacturing, or high-tech laboratory environment.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- Knowledge of AS9100 or other quality management systems.
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Associate's degree or technical certification.
