Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Policy Research Intern to join our team for the Summer/Fall intake. This is a paid, remote internship opportunity open to students across all states. The intern will support our policy research initiatives, contributing to projects that aim to understand and advance entrepreneurship, education, and economic development. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in policy analysis, data interpretation, and report generation within a leading philanthropic organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature reviews and synthesize findings on relevant policy topics.
  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Prepare summaries, presentations, and draft reports on research findings.
  • Support the development of policy briefs and advocacy materials.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
  • Help organize and document research materials and databases.
  • Collaborate with senior researchers and policy experts on ongoing projects.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Public Policy, Economics, Sociology, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in data collection and organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated interest in public policy, entrepreneurship, or economic development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, SPSS) or qualitative analysis software.
  • Experience in conducting survey research or interviews.
  • Prior internship experience in a research or policy-focused environment.
  • Knowledge of U.S. policy landscape related to entrepreneurship and education.
