Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our Plum Picking Crew for the upcoming seasonal harvest. This is an immediate opening for a temporary role, perfect for those who enjoy working outdoors and are looking for a physically active job. As a crucial part of our team, you will be responsible for carefully hand-picking ripe plums, ensuring their quality from the tree to packaging. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to local food production and earn a competitive hourly wage.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully hand-picking plums from trees at various heights, ensuring minimal damage to fruit and trees.
- Assisting with the sorting and grading of picked plums according to quality standards.
- Packing plums into designated crates and containers for transport.
- Adhering to all farm health and safety guidelines and procedures.
- Working efficiently and effectively as part of a team to meet daily picking targets.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
