Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Shopify Plus Developer to join our growing e-commerce team. You will be instrumental in developing, customizing, and optimizing high-performing Shopify Plus stores for our diverse portfolio of brands. This role involves working on complex integrations, custom app development, advanced theme customization, and ensuring robust, scalable, and secure e-commerce solutions that drive significant business growth. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement custom Shopify themes and templates using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Build and maintain custom Shopify applications to extend platform functionality and integrate with third-party systems.
- Perform extensive customization of existing Shopify Plus features to meet unique business requirements.
- Optimize Shopify stores for speed, scalability, SEO, and conversion rates.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other developers to deliver exceptional digital experiences.
- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices through thorough testing and code reviews.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify features, industry trends, and development tools.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers when required.
Required Skills
- Expertise in Shopify Plus development, including custom theme and app development.
- Proficiency in Liquid templating language.
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3 (Sass/SCSS), and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks like React, Vue.js, or similar.
- Demonstrable experience with Shopify's Storefront API, Admin API, and App Bridge.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and web services (payment gateways, ERP, CRM, marketing automation).
- Understanding of e-commerce best practices, UX/UI principles, and performance optimization techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with headless Shopify implementations (e.g., using Next.js, Gatsby).
- Familiarity with GraphQL.
- Certification in Shopify development or related technologies.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
- Previous experience in a large-scale retail or e-commerce environment.
