Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Styling Assistant to join our dynamic production team, specializing in commercial advertising. This role is crucial for supporting our senior food stylists in preparing, arranging, and presenting food items for high-stakes commercial shoots. You will be instrumental in the creative preparation phase, ensuring all ingredients and props are perfectly organized and ready to capture the camera’s attention. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring professional to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, creative environment within the advertising industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior food stylists with procurement, preparation, and organization of food items, props, and equipment for commercial shoots.
- Perform basic food preparation tasks such as washing, chopping, cooking, and plating ingredients according to stylist instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including kitchen areas, staging zones, and food storage.
- Manage inventory of styling tools, ingredients, and perishable goods, ensuring freshness and availability.
- Provide on-set support during commercial shoots, including refreshing food, managing prop changes, and ensuring continuity.
- Assist with post-shoot clean-up, breakdown, and proper storage or disposal of materials.
- Collaborate effectively with photographers, directors, producers, and other crew members to achieve desired visual outcomes.
