Job Description

As a Home Health Aide (HHA) with BrightStar Care, you will provide essential personal care and support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. This role focuses on afternoon and overnight shifts across various regions within Pasco County, offering flexibility and consistent hours for dedicated individuals. You will assist clients with daily living activities, ensure their safety, and provide companionship, all while adhering to care plans and upholding BrightStar Care’s high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist with ambulation, transfers, and mobility.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks and assist with meal preparation.
  • Engage clients in stimulating activities and provide companionship.
  • Monitor and report changes in client's health or behavior to the nursing supervisor.
  • Document care provided accurately and timely.
  • Adhere to all BrightStar Care policies, procedures, and client care plans.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy environment for clients.

Required Skills

  • Valid HHA certification or CNA license in Florida.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with auto insurance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with client care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in home health, assisted living, or similar care settings.
  • Experience with memory care or specialized conditions.
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
  • CPR certification.
