Job Description
Join Riverside Dermatology Associates as a Dermatology Support Worker and become an integral part of our patient care team. This role offers stable hours in a private practice setting, providing essential support to our dermatologists and clinical staff. You will assist with patient intake, prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure a smooth, efficient clinic flow. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and adequate supplies.
- Assist dermatologists with various procedures, including minor surgeries and cosmetic treatments.
- Sterilize instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Escort patients to rooms, take initial histories, and document vital signs.
- Provide patient education on post-procedure care and medication instructions.
- Manage medical waste and maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
- Assist with scheduling follow-up appointments and managing patient records.
- Ensure patient comfort and provide compassionate support throughout their visit.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for record keeping.
- Ability to follow strict sterilization and hygiene protocols.
