Job Description
This temporary, full-time Student Data Analyst position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business intelligence within a world-renowned entertainment company. The successful candidate will work closely with our data analytics and BI teams to collect, analyze, and interpret complex datasets, contributing to strategic decision-making and enhancing guest experiences across our diverse portfolio. This role is ideal for a student passionate about data, with a foundational understanding of business intelligence tools and methodologies, eager to apply their academic knowledge in a dynamic, real-world environment. You will support the team in delivering actionable insights that inform creative development and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, cleaning, and transformation of large datasets from various sources (e.g., operational data, guest feedback, market trends).
- Support the development, maintenance, and optimization of dashboards and reports using industry-standard BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to business operations and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into robust analytical solutions.
- Document data processes, definitions, methodologies, and analytical findings clearly and concisely for internal use.
- Participate actively in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and present findings to internal stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal abilities.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with scripting languages like Python or R for data analysis and automation.
- Prior academic or project experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- Coursework or personal projects specifically focused on business intelligence, reporting, or predictive analytics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
