Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and self-motivated Digital Map Verifier with strong local geography knowledge of the Wesley Chapel, Florida area to join our remote team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the accuracy and quality of Google’s mapping products by reviewing, verifying, and correcting map data. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of local landmarks, street names, businesses, and geographical features, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. You will utilize various internal tools and resources to ensure our maps reflect the most current and precise information available, directly impacting the experience of millions of users.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and validate geographic data, including street names, addresses, points of interest, and boundaries, using internal tools and external sources.
- Identify and report discrepancies or errors in map data, suggesting appropriate corrections.
- Utilize strong local knowledge of Wesley Chapel, Florida to ensure accuracy in local-specific data.
- Conduct thorough research using various online resources (e.g., street view, satellite imagery, local government sites) to confirm data accuracy.
- Follow established guidelines and workflows to maintain data consistency and quality standards.
- Collaborate with other team members and provide feedback on tools and processes to improve efficiency.
- Maintain high levels of productivity and quality in a remote work setting.
