Job Description
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Hospital Porters to join our team at University Hospital, Coventry. This vital role ensures the smooth operation of our hospital by safely and efficiently transporting patients, equipment, and sensitive materials across various departments. Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients via beds, trolleys, or wheelchairs between wards, departments, and appointment areas.
- Move medical equipment, laboratory samples, blood products, and confidential patient notes as required.
- Assist with the delivery of supplies and removal of waste and linen.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of trolleys and equipment used for transport.
- Provide compassionate and respectful interaction with patients, offering reassurance and support during transport.
- Respond promptly to requests from medical and nursing staff for portering services.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, infection control policies, and hospital procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of transport activities as required.
