Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Part-Time Chemistry Lab Assistant to join our team for morning shifts at our Vacaville facility. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain practical experience in a dynamic laboratory setting, providing essential support to our research and development chemists. The Lab Assistant will primarily assist with routine laboratory tasks, maintain cleanliness, and ensure the smooth operation of daily lab activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational chemistry knowledge and a strong desire to contribute to cutting-edge biomedical research.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and media according to established protocols.
- Clean and sterilize laboratory glassware, equipment, and work areas.
- Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
- Assist chemists with basic experimental setup and sample preparation.
- Perform routine quality checks on lab equipment and instruments.
- Accurately record and manage laboratory data and inventory logs.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety regulations and procedures.
- Dispose of chemical waste in compliance with environmental guidelines.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.

Preferred Qualifications
