Job Description

Are you detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to community safety? Publix Super Markets is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as an Alcohol & Tobacco Compliance Checker. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for conducting discreet checks at various Publix locations to ensure strict adherence to state and federal regulations regarding the sale of alcohol and tobacco products, with a specific focus on preventing sales to individuals under the legal age of 21. This position plays a vital part in upholding our commitment to responsible retailing and community welfare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform unannounced visits to designated Publix stores within the Wesley Chapel area.
  • Observe and document sales transactions of alcohol and tobacco products to ensure proper age verification procedures are followed by associates.
  • Identify and report instances of non-compliance with established company policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all compliance checks, including dates, times, store locations, and findings.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality and ethical guidelines while performing duties.
  • Provide objective and factual reports to management.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on relevant laws and company policies.
