Job Description
Join our emergency snow shoveling crew for the winter season in Victorville, CA. This temporary, on-call position is crucial for maintaining safe access and clear pathways during snow events. We are looking for highly reliable and physically capable individuals ready to respond quickly when winter weather strikes. This role offers emergency pay for critical work performed.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently shovel snow from sidewalks, entryways, stairs, and other designated areas.
- Apply de-icing agents as instructed to prevent ice formation.
- Operate small hand tools and light equipment such as snow blowers (training provided if needed).
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work outdoors in varying winter weather conditions, including cold temperatures and snow.
- Be available for on-call shifts, often requiring immediate response during snow events.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools are properly stored.
Required Skills
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous labor, including lifting and bending.
- Reliable transportation and ability to respond to call-outs quickly.
- Ability to work effectively in cold and adverse weather conditions.
