Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Security Chat Annotator with a focus on Cyber Safety to join our remote team. In this critical role, you will analyze and annotate chat conversations, identifying patterns, threats, and violations related to cyber safety, online abuse, and malicious activities. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing our AI models and platform security, protecting users from harmful content and interactions. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately review and annotate large volumes of chat data according to established guidelines and policies.
- Identify and categorize various forms of online abuse, cyberbullying, phishing attempts, malware distribution, and other cyber safety risks.
- Provide clear, concise, and consistent annotations to improve machine learning model performance.
- Collaborate with a team of annotators, project managers, and subject matter experts to refine guidelines and address complex cases.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to data privacy protocols.
- Provide constructive feedback on annotation tools and processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Stay informed on current cyber safety trends and emerging online threats.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in English with excellent reading comprehension and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex guidelines and apply them consistently.
- Comfortable working with sensitive and potentially disturbing content related to online safety.
- Strong ethical judgment and discretion.
- Basic understanding of common online threats and cyber safety principles.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in data annotation, content moderation, or linguistic analysis.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, online privacy, and digital forensics.
- Experience with AI/ML training data tools.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Linguistics, Cybersecurity, Psychology, Communications).
