Job Description
Are you passionate about video games and have a keen eye for detail? We are looking for enthusiastic Playtesters to join our team, specifically supporting projects related to our EA Orlando studio. This role is crucial in identifying bugs, glitches, and usability issues to ensure our games meet the highest standards of quality before release. You will play an integral part in the game development cycle, providing critical feedback that directly impacts the player experience. We offer both local opportunities in Fullerton, CA, and remote options for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and meticulously document game behavior, bugs, and other issues.
- Provide clear, concise, and actionable written and verbal feedback on game features, mechanics, and user experience.
- Perform repetitive testing to ensure consistent functionality and identify edge cases.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, QA engineers, and other playtesters.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding unreleased game content and project details.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliver thorough testing results.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for video games across various genres and platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify subtle inconsistencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and execute test cases accurately.
- Proficiency with common gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in game testing or quality assurance (QA).
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Experience with competitive gaming or specific game genres relevant to EA titles.
