Job Description
Are you passionate about the art of beauty and eager to embark on a fulfilling career in microblading? Gene Juarez Salons & Spas is offering an extraordinary opportunity for an enthusiastic Microblading Apprentice. This is a comprehensive, hands-on program designed for individuals with little to no prior experience in microblading, but a strong desire to learn, grow, and excel. You will work alongside our industry-leading artists, receiving professional mentorship and structured training that covers everything from foundational techniques and client consultation to advanced artistry and business best practices. This apprenticeship is a career path, not just a job, providing you with the skills and confidence to become a certified and sought-after microblading artist.
Key Responsibilities
- Shadow and assist senior microblading artists during consultations, procedures, and aftercare follow-ups.
- Actively participate in structured training sessions and workshops covering microblading techniques, color theory, skin anatomy, and sanitation protocols.
- Practice and refine microblading skills on practice skin and approved models under direct supervision.
- Learn and apply strict sanitation, sterilization, and safety procedures as per industry standards and state regulations.
- Assist with client intake forms, maintaining client records, and preparing treatment rooms.
- Engage with clients in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.
- Support the salon team with daily operational tasks and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
- Continuously seek feedback and embrace opportunities for personal and professional development.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, embodying the Gene Juarez standard of excellence.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Exceptional attention to detail and a steady hand
- Strong artistic aptitude and an eye for aesthetics

- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new techniques
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and professionalism
- Must be at least 18 years old
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in cosmetology, esthetics, or a related field (e.g., makeup artistry, tattooing)
- Completion of a basic bloodborne pathogens training course
- A portfolio showcasing artistic skills (e.g., drawings, makeup looks)
- Customer service experience in a salon or spa setting
