Job Description

Are you passionate about helping others and looking to start a rewarding career in healthcare? Bayshore HomeCare is actively seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Home Health Aide (HHA) Trainees. No prior experience is required! We believe in investing in our employees, which is why we offer a comprehensive, fully paid certification program to help you become a certified HHA. This is an incredible opportunity to gain valuable skills, launch your career, and make a real difference in the lives of our clients in New Port Richey and surrounding areas. Upon successful completion of the training and certification, you will transition into a full-time HHA role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in the paid HHA certification training program.
  • Learn and demonstrate proficiency in providing personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Understand and assist with safe client transfers and ambulation.
  • Learn to monitor and report changes in client health status to supervisory staff.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized client environment.
  • Assist clients with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Document care provided accurately and timely.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state regulations.

Required Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Willingness to learn and commit to a training program.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Previous experience in a caregiving role (personal or professional) is a plus, but not required.
