Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apple Procurement Specialist to join our Business Support team in Garden Grove, CA. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for a variety of goods and services vital to Apple’s operational success. This includes identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, optimizing costs, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining Apple’s high standards for quality and ethical sourcing. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proven track record in strategic procurement within a fast-paced, global environment. You will play a key role in supporting various business units, contributing directly to our efficiency and bottom line.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with Apple's business objectives and cost-saving initiatives.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluation, contract negotiation, and dispute resolution.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and offerings.
- Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to achieve best value for Apple.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments (e.g., Engineering, Operations, Legal) to understand their procurement needs.
- Ensure compliance with Apple's procurement policies, ethical guidelines, and relevant legal regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and procurement cycles to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions within the procurement function.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, savings, and supplier performance.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
- Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with global procurement and international supply chain management.
- Certification in Procurement (e.g., CPSM, C.P.M.).
- Familiarity with Apple's product ecosystem and operational requirements.
- Experience working in the technology or consumer electronics industry.
