Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our CVS Pharmacy team as a Part-Time Pharmacy Delivery Driver & Tech Aide in Kaimuki, Honolulu, HI. In this dual role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our patients receive their medications efficiently and safely, while also supporting our pharmacy operations with various technical tasks. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver prescription medications and other pharmacy items to patient homes and businesses within the designated local delivery area.
- Verify patient identity and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies.
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with non-clerical duties, including organizing inventory, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy environment.
- Prepare prescription packages for delivery, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Handle patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy during deliveries, escalating complex issues to the pharmacy staff.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, adhering to all privacy and confidentiality guidelines (HIPAA).
- Operate and maintain delivery vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, conducting routine vehicle checks.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and colleagues.
Required Skills
- Valid Hawaii driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 6 months of professional driving experience (delivery, courier, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 25 lbs.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting or healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with local Honolulu roadways and traffic patterns.
- Customer service experience.
