Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Instrument Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team in Garland, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of our leading-edge industrial instruments and automation solutions within a defined territory. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for technology and a talent for building strong client relationships, offering a competitive base salary along with an uncapped commission structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets for instruments and automation solutions.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities within industrial accounts, including prospecting and lead generation.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions with prospective clients.
  • Prepare comprehensive proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal technical support and engineering teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and regularly report on sales activities and market trends.
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote Emerson's brand and offerings.
  • Stay informed about new products, market conditions, and competitor activities.

Required Skills

  • Proven sales experience, preferably in industrial instrumentation, automation, or a related technical field.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand and explain complex instrument functionalities.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and close sales.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical), Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Existing network of contacts within the manufacturing or process industries in the Garland, TX area.
  • Experience with consultative selling and solution-based sales approaches.
  • Familiarity with Emerson's product portfolio.
