Job Description
Are you a night owl looking for a dynamic role with excellent pay? FedEx Express is seeking dedicated Night Shift Package Handlers to join our team in Uptown Charlotte. This crucial role involves safely and efficiently sorting, loading, and unloading packages and freight, ensuring they reach their destinations on time. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload packages and freight from vehicles and conveyor belts.
- Scan and sort packages accurately according to destination and routing information.
- Lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 75 lbs independently.
- Operate material handling equipment safely as required (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs independently and maneuver heavier packages with assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for night shifts.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or physically demanding role.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
