Job Description
Boca Entertainment is seeking a highly talented and experienced Wedding Musician for weekend contract work in Wesley Chapel, FL, and surrounding areas. This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional musician with a refined repertoire and a passion for creating magical moments through music at weddings and special events. We are looking for individuals who can consistently deliver outstanding performances, possess a strong work ethic, and are dedicated to providing an unparalleled musical experience for our clients. This role offers a high daily rate for weekend engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform musical sets as requested by clients for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions.
- Curate and maintain a diverse repertoire suitable for various wedding styles and client preferences (classical, contemporary, jazz, etc.).
- Arrive punctually and prepared for all scheduled events, ensuring all necessary equipment is set up and sound-checked prior to guest arrival.
- Collaborate effectively with event planners, venue staff, and other vendors to ensure smooth event flow.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, representing Boca Entertainment with excellence.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with the Boca Entertainment team regarding availability, event details, and any potential issues.
- Adapt to on-site changes or special requests from clients with grace and professionalism.
- Ensure the highest quality of sound and performance at every event.
Required Skills
- Exceptional instrumental or vocal proficiency (please specify instrument/vocal type in application)
- Extensive repertoire suitable for weddings, including classical, contemporary, and popular genres
- Proven experience performing at live events, particularly weddings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professionalism and reliability
- Ability to read sheet music and/or improvise as required
- Own high-quality musical instrument(s) and necessary amplification equipment (if applicable)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music Performance or a related field
- Portfolio or demo reels demonstrating previous wedding performances
- Ability to perform in multiple musical styles or with different instruments
- Experience working with event planners and coordinating musical aspects of large events
- Established reputation or positive client testimonials
