Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Weekend Student Retail Associate. This part-time position is perfect for students looking to gain valuable retail experience while balancing their academic commitments. You will be instrumental in creating a positive shopping experience for our guests, primarily on weekends. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests on the sales floor with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register, including handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor, including stocking shelves, arranging merchandise, and ensuring proper signage.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as receiving shipments, organizing backroom areas, and conducting cycle counts.
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly, escalating complex situations to management when necessary.
- Promote company products, services, and special offers to enhance the guest shopping experience.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for scheduled weekend shifts.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Ability to lift and carry merchandise up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
