Job Description
Are you passionate about mechanics and eager to kick-start your career in the energy industry? Aera Energy LLC is seeking a motivated Pumpjack Mechanic Trainee to join our team in Sacramento, CA. This entry-level position is designed for individuals with a strong mechanical interest who are ready to learn the essential skills for maintaining critical oilfield equipment. You will work closely with experienced mechanics, gaining hands-on experience with pumpjack systems, learning preventative maintenance, troubleshooting techniques, and adhering to strict safety protocols. This role offers comprehensive training and a clear path for professional development within a vital industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior mechanics with routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs of pumpjack equipment and related machinery.
- Learn to identify mechanical issues, operational inefficiencies, and potential safety hazards under supervision.
- Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment required for pumpjack servicing.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Participate actively in all required training sessions, workshops, and continuous learning programs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Support the team in troubleshooting basic mechanical problems and preparing equipment for maintenance tasks.
- Accurately document basic maintenance activities, observations, and completed tasks as directed.
Required Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in hands-on mechanical work.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and efficiently.
- A strong commitment to safety and willingness to learn and adhere to all safety protocols.
