Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to join our busy clinic in Layton, UT. This full-time position is perfect for an organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing excellent patient service. While previous experience is a plus, we offer comprehensive ongoing training to ensure your success and growth within our team. You will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient office atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answer multi-line phones, direct calls, and take messages accurately.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing a busy calendar.
  • Register new patients and update existing patient information.
  • Verify insurance coverage and collect co-payments or outstanding balances.
  • Maintain patient records with strict confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
  • Prepare patient charts for appointments and ensure all necessary forms are completed.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, including filing, faxing, and scanning.
  • Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

  • Proficiency with computer systems and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
