Job Description
CEMEX is seeking a dedicated and physically capable Bulk Warehouse Associate with a heavy industrial focus to join our team in New Port Richey, FL. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe handling, storage, and dispatch of bulk materials within our industrial warehouse environment. This position requires operating heavy machinery, adhering strictly to safety protocols, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all material movements. Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, loaders, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload bulk materials (e.g., aggregates, cement, sand) from trucks, railcars, and storage bins.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or damage promptly.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the warehouse and yard.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve operational issues.
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation related to material movement and storage.
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy industrial machinery (e.g., forklifts, front-end loaders).
- Strong understanding and commitment to industrial safety practices.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Basic mathematical skills for inventory counting and measurement.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing, construction, or bulk materials handling environment.
- Certification in forklift operation or other heavy equipment.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
