Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Bank Teller II to join our dynamic team in New Port Richey, FL. This role is ideal for individuals with a proven track record in banking who are looking for a new opportunity and require relocation assistance. As a Bank Teller II, you will be a vital front-line representative, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, processing various financial transactions accurately, and identifying opportunities to introduce clients to additional banking products and services. You will play a key role in building strong client relationships and contributing to the overall success of the branch.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of client transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers.
- Verify cash and endorsements, and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Identify client needs and cross-sell appropriate bank products and services, making referrals to specialists as needed.
- Resolve client inquiries and issues promptly and professionally, escalating complex problems when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to all banking regulations, policies, and security procedures.
- Balance cash drawer daily and assist with branch balancing activities.
- Educate clients on digital banking solutions and self-service options.
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients and team members.
- Mentor and assist less experienced tellers as needed.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bank teller or in a similar cash-handling role.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing.
- Proficiency with banking software and standard office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic knowledge of banking products and services.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in business, finance, or a related field.
- Experience with Truist (formerly BB&T or SunTrust) systems and procedures.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to identify sales opportunities and make referrals.
