Job Description
As a FedEx Ground Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our ground logistics network. This position involves a blend of operational support, data analysis, and problem-solving to optimize package flow and delivery across multiple states in the USA. You will be responsible for coordinating with various departments, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance service quality and operational efficiency within our ground operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze ground operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Provide real-time support for ground operations, addressing issues related to package sortation, routing, and delivery.
- Collaborate with station managers, couriers, and other support teams to resolve operational challenges.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance consistency and efficiency across the network.
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new operational staff regarding system tools and best practices.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on operational performance, presenting findings and recommendations to management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within ground operations.
- Utilize advanced tracking and logistics software to optimize routes and resource allocation.
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving overall service quality and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with FedEx operational systems or similar logistics software.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and industry best practices.
- Proven experience in data analysis and report generation.
