Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to earn extra cash this holiday season? UPS is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Personal Vehicle Driver (PVD) Associates to help us deliver packages during our busiest time of the year. As a PVD Associate, you’ll use your own vehicle to deliver packages to residential and business customers, playing a critical role in bringing holiday cheer to our community. This is a temporary position with immediate start, offering flexible hours to fit your schedule and the chance to be part of a world-renowned logistics team.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate your personal vehicle to deliver packages to designated addresses.
- Load and unload packages from your vehicle, ensuring careful handling.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and UPS safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate any issues promptly.
- Work efficiently to meet daily delivery quotas.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Proof of vehicle insurance and registration.
- Reliable personal vehicle that meets UPS standards (e.g., sufficient cargo space).
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and handle packages of various sizes.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery or customer service roles.
- Familiarity with the Meridian, Idaho area.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings during the holiday season.
