Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and compassionate Registered General Nurses (RGNs) to join our dedicated team across various specialties within Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with Trust policies and NMC guidelines.
- Administer medications safely and accurately, adhering to national and local policies.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide support and education to patients and their families, promoting health and well-being.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and deteriorating patient conditions.
- Participate in ward rounds, clinical meetings, and contribute to continuous service improvement.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff, healthcare assistants, and student nurses.
Required Skills
- Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration or eligibility to register.
- Relevant nursing degree or diploma.
- Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
- Proficiency in English (IELTS/OET results typically required for NMC registration).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in an acute hospital setting.
- Post-registration experience in a specific specialty (e.g., Medical, Surgical, A&E, ITU).
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
