Job Description

This role is a critical support position within our hardware systems team, focusing on technical design assistance for Apple’s cutting-edge products. The successful candidate will provide essential aid to senior engineers and designers, ensuring the smooth progression of hardware development projects. This involves a blend of hands-on support, documentation, data management, and initial problem-solving within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist hardware engineers with component sourcing, prototyping, and testing procedures.
  • Maintain and organize technical documentation, including schematics, CAD files, and bill of materials (BOMs).
  • Perform initial diagnostic checks and troubleshooting on hardware prototypes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for material requisitions and lab equipment management.
  • Prepare and present status updates on assigned tasks to project leads.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of lab environments and test fixtures.
  • Conduct basic research on new technologies and components as requested.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data management.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and hardware components.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Familiarity with technical documentation and design principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Altium Designer).
  • Prior experience in a lab setting or technical support role.
  • Exposure to Apple hardware or ecosystem.
  • Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python).
