Job Description
This role is a critical support position within our hardware systems team, focusing on technical design assistance for Apple’s cutting-edge products. The successful candidate will provide essential aid to senior engineers and designers, ensuring the smooth progression of hardware development projects. This involves a blend of hands-on support, documentation, data management, and initial problem-solving within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist hardware engineers with component sourcing, prototyping, and testing procedures.
- Maintain and organize technical documentation, including schematics, CAD files, and bill of materials (BOMs).
- Perform initial diagnostic checks and troubleshooting on hardware prototypes.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for material requisitions and lab equipment management.
- Prepare and present status updates on assigned tasks to project leads.
- Support the setup and maintenance of lab environments and test fixtures.
- Conduct basic research on new technologies and components as requested.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data management.
- Basic understanding of electronics and hardware components.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with technical documentation and design principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Altium Designer).
- Prior experience in a lab setting or technical support role.
- Exposure to Apple hardware or ecosystem.
- Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python).
