Job Description
Are you a night owl looking for a dynamic role with excellent compensation? FedEx is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as Night Shift Package Handlers in Tulsa. This physically demanding yet rewarding position is critical to ensuring our packages are sorted, loaded, and unloaded efficiently during the overnight hours. We offer a competitive hourly wage with a significant night differential to recognize your commitment to working during these essential shifts. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from company vehicles, trailers, and conveyor belts.
- Sort packages by destination, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Scan packages using handheld devices to track movement and update status.
- Move packages to designated areas within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks (after training, if applicable).
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted and maneuver heavier packages with assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, lift, and carry for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic literacy skills to read labels and instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physically demanding role.
- Experience with material handling equipment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
