Job Description

Walmart is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Shipping and Receiving Associate in New Port Richey, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with little to no prior experience to kickstart a career in logistics and supply chain. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of goods, maintaining accurate inventory, and supporting the overall warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing lists, and report discrepancies.
  • Unload trucks and move products to designated storage areas using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks).
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and loading goods onto trucks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shipping and receiving areas.
  • Perform routine inventory counts and assist with inventory management.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, following all company safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist customers with loading purchases, if applicable.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or retail environment (even part-time or seasonal).
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
