Job Description

CVS Health is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Inventory Specialist in Downtown Long Beach. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training! This full-time position operates Monday to Friday, offering a consistent schedule to help manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, ensuring our patients receive the medications they need efficiently and accurately. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unpack, and verify incoming pharmacy shipments against invoices and purchase orders.
  • Organize and stock medications and supplies in designated storage areas, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO).
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify discrepancies, and assist with inventory counts and audits.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the pharmacy storage areas.
  • Identify and remove expired or damaged products, ensuring proper disposal procedures are followed.
  • Assist pharmacy staff with locating specific medications and supplies as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements and update records.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs regularly.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment (not required, but a plus).
  • Familiarity with inventory management principles.
  • A desire to learn about pharmaceutical products and operations.
